There is a growing need for culturally relevant and culturally supported sexual health education taught to youth leaders, community leaders, and community health nurses. SLI teaches service providers and community leaders how to “Be Approachable” and enables them to deliver consistent, empowering knowledge about sexual health to the populations they serve.

SLI provides evidence-based, innovative and engaging sexual health education environments where learners are empowered to make educated choices regarding their sexual and relational lives, and to communicate these choices to others. We offer context specific, highly specialized workshops for community leaders and service providers to be comfortable with the topic of human sexuality, and feel competent teaching and talking about it with the populations they serve.

Julia Saunders, Director, believes in teaching sexual health in an entertaining, responsible and integral way, focused on dialogue and real tools to apply to healthy sexuality, over the life span.  Distinctive and comprehensive workshops will provide lasting results in the common goal of sexual health for young people.

Specialized, hands-on, interactive, and Q&A based learning

SLI provides evidence-based, engaging, innovative and holistic sexual health education classes where learners are empowered to make educated choices regarding their sexual and relational lives, and to communicate these choices to others. We offer context specific, highly specialized workshops teaching youth how to communicate what they want - empowerment, boundary setting, healthy sexual expression - and avoid what they don’t want - abuse, assault, STI’s, or an unplanned pregnancy.

Along the directive of empowered sexuality over ages and stages, Julia’s sex ed experience extends from doing a weekly JuiceBox Radio sex and relationship talk show for over 200 episodes, to 6 pieces for a weekly talk show on MTV "He Said, She Said" where she responded as the "sexpert" to inquiries from youth about sexual and relationship matters.

On March 15, 2007, Julia launched her original concept of an interactive sex ed and performance art event called "JuiceBox Salon: Experience", which sold out within weeks. Her second JuiceBox Salon: Sins & Senses, sold out March 15, 2008, and was larger, more complex, and focused participants on the path to "Juicy Self Love". Her third JuiceBox Salon will be titled “Mating in Captivity” (from Esther Perel’s work) and focuses on the science and culture of attraction, dating, passion, and how to create and maintain ‘hot sex’ in your long term relationship.

Julia provides adult pleasure and communication based workshops that are specialized to the preferred topic area of her clients.
